American Teejay Vangarderen leads Criterium du Dauphine'

An 8 stage cycling race in the Alps of France, the Criterium du Dauphine' is a classic race run a month before the Tour de France. The last few years it has become extremely popular again with big name riders using it as a warmup test for the grand Tour in July. Teejay Vangarderen leads this race with the final stage coming tomorrow by just 18 seconds on Chris Froome. Fellow American and last year Criterium winner, Andrew Talansky, sits in 9th 2:39 behind Vangarderen. It's been an exciting race. Teejay would become the 5th American to win in the race's history if he is able to hold on.

Problem is Neboli is using it as a trainer and Contador isn't there. Frohme also looked like a boss on stage 5 where Vangarderen got yellow.

Hard to say with Nibali. He put himself into yellow in stage 6 and got whooped in stage 7. Froome is a beast and I think he will probably win this race. Contador looked good in the Giro, but he did it by himself against no main contenders. Contador's team didn't look very good. In the Tour de France, Movistar, Sky, and Tinkoff Saxo will feature some serious climbing teams. I'm interested to see how Teejay fairs with the addition of Pinot and with Bardet showing real well. I'd put money on Quintana from Movistar in the grand tour.

The guy from AG2R has looked good he's what 24? I would love to see BMC do something special, but just can't see it.
I'm taking Contador and it's due to he can Time Trial along with climb. But I am a Contador fan though.

Contador will definitely get time on Quintana in the time trial, but I believe there's only one short one. Bardet on AG2R is solid and Pinot on FDJ is also legit. This tour is really built for climbers. Even more so than usual and there are a ton of guys who can legitimately climb. Tinkoff, Sky, and Movistar are built completely around climbing. It would be nice to see Teejay and Talansky finish top 10. It's going to be a brutal tour and I'm not sure they have the team to put them there after 3 weeks.

Saw it. I figured Froome would win. The time bonuses at the end of the last 2 stages helped Frrome take it. Good ride all week by Teejay. His team doesn't quite stack up, but that's big time in the Alps. He usually struggles more in the Pyrenees in the TDF. Less than a month now.

Two things I like about TDF '15 are the time bonuses are back to encourage winning stages and Alpe d' Huez of course.
The things I don't like limited time trials, especially no team trial. Also, I wished they wouldn't start in the Netherlands.
