American Pharoah will run in the Haskell

This seems really dumb to me. His stud fees couldn't be any higher. Why risk it? I'm sure they have an insurance policy but even still - this horse is a living legend - should be treated with kid gloves from the second he crossed the finish line at Belmont to the second he passes away in a velvet-lined stable in 25 years

the owner said he owes it to the fans to run 2 or 3 more races so people could see him run

If the horse happens to get hurt badly(unlikely but possible). Every single person involved in that desision will be tared and feathered and rightfully so.
