If you were flying from Seattle to San Jose on Alaska Airlines flight 362 on Thursday, you got something way better than a complimentary bag of peanuts and a soft drink.

The “special surprise” Alaska Airlines — a University of Washington athletics sponsor — tweeted about included not only a purple-and-gold pom-pom and UW wristband, but also a free pair of tickets to Friday night’s Pac-12 championship football game between the Huskies and Colorado in Santa Clara.

If they were flying in for the game, they already had tickets. If they weren't, they probably weren't going to cancel whatever they had planned to go to some football game.

Fact, but depending on their seats, could be better. Or, they could sell them for money. Still a win/win no matter what

This reminds me of the Birmingham news including UAB tickets in their paper once to try and fill the stadium. They also brought out the big dog, Reuben Studdard, to perform at halftime.

I think marine the atmosphere in San Jose last night was similar.

Especially that area...IDK how that area survived the Super Bowl...who wants to sit in their car for 4 hours to go 60 miles?

Outside of the SEC Championship game, these conferences should let the higher seeded team host, just to avoid playing in front of an empty stadium
