C) A blowout loss with 1L already

Unlikely but shite happens, maybe something like the OU loss or a little worse with 1 loss already on the ledger could be enough

i thought Alabama looked good on offense and their run defense was stout.

but the secondary didn't look too good. There was no pass rush either. #3 kept getting it handed to him. The huge turnover Alabama has with guys jumping to the NFL will cost them eventually.

You can kick arse in recruiting but the experience factor should never be overlooked. I don't know if Alabama has any real leaders out there on defense. Or even on offense... not trolling... who would you say has really stepped up and assumed that role?

a deep stable of running backs and another road grading offensive line will always be something to lean on though.

and Christion Jones is huge in the return game.

Who is the hot LSU girl in that Hamptonality commercial where they're showing people at football games?

Pic was taken in JerryWorld last year.

And still had a losing bowl record during that period was 9-13.

Alabama still needs 10 more weeks to break their 1977-1981 streak of 62.

Top 5 All-Time Top 10 consecutive appearance streaks...

1. Miami (137) - 85-93
2. Nebraska (96) - 93-98
3. Florida (81) - 92-97
4. USC (79) - 02-07
5. Oklahoma (76) - 84-88

And? They also had the greatest CFB of all time during that span.

...because they were vastly overrated in the 80's and didn't turn the corner until the mid-90's.

If you grew up in the 80's you knew the story...

Every year Nebraska would come out of the Big8 highly rated in the top 5...and then then get trounced OOC in their bowl game.

The only team Nebraska beat from 1982-1994 was LSU...(beat them 3 times) but lost to all other 10 opponents. 3-10...Clemson, Michigan, FSU, Miami, Georgia Tech, etc...all whipped them.

If it wasn't for 1980's LSU, Nebraska might have gone 0-13 during their highly ranked top 10 days of the 80's and early 90's.

Florida State finished in the Top 5 of every AP poll from 1987 to 2000. Theoretically, they could've been in a 4 team playoff for 14 straight years.

I was about to ask how Florida State isn't up there. They finished in the top 3 pretty much the entire 90's.

Two things that have been aggressively addressed through recruiting last year. We will be set at corner next year and the pass rush should be very good.

WVU was game 1 for a lot of guys out there on Defense. Missing Depriest hurt more than I thought it would because you kept seeing guys out of position. A'Shawn Robinson and Landon Collins are also both guys that will step up as well.

We don't really have any of the rah rah vocal type leaders, but I've seen where a ton of guys on the team look up Yeldon and Amari Cooper.

Bama/WVU seems to just be a redux of Bama/VT as far as the game and fan reaction

I don't see the Tide falling out of the top 25 this year. Just don't see it.

I've made the exact same comment like 5 or 6 times since that game. Hell I made a thread about it on our board.

They could fall out of the Top 10 but no way in hell would they fall out of the Top 25.

With their rep - it would take 4-5 losses...considering teams hang around in the bottom Top 25 with 4 losses late in the season.

ah... okay.

just wondered because before there were guys like CJ Mosley, McCarron, and Barrett Jones.

then you have the players like Sunseri last year who was a heady player. Not so much a leader but someone who seemed to really understand what to do in that defense.

its still real early though... i suspect they'll get a lot better.

A lot of Bama fans I've talked too weren't all that pleased with y'all s Defense. I just kind of nod and am thinking to myself... Jesus they only shell out a handful of underclassmen to the NFL every year now

people fricking forget that real quick. Its amazing.

then I'll ask them if they watched the NFL Draft to which most would be like, Nah... not at all.

imagine that.
