I find it amusing that Gilbert's letter was still on the Cavs' website after 4 years.

Do you honestly think that? Lebron is all about winning rings, that cavs team with a point guard and a rookie wing player who may or may not be good is going to lure him back?

And what the hell does Miami have to offer? A SG that's going to play 20 games and a PF to jack up threes?

They wouldn't be...LeBron and Irving isn't enough to win a title right now.

Seriously. Didnt it say they'd win a championship before lebron did? And he won 2 in the first 3 years he left.

How was it still there?

Exactly. You'd think Gilbert would've been doing all he could to make people forget about that.

quote:

“’I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS ONE’” “Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.” “This shocking act of disloyalty from our home grown “chosen one” sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And “who” we would want them to grow-up to become.”

at this, the level of delusion from the ohio people on here is just amazing to me. They have gotten to the finals 4 years in a row, the city of miami might as well be heaven on earth compared to cleveland and they have the ability to recruit players. I know that during lebrons time in cleveland he was about to lure big time studs like mo williams and larry hughes to play with him, but that is all going to change this go around right?

(BTW, I have no dog in this fight and am only interested as a casual NBA fan)

What is delusional about it? They have two guys under contract right now. Bron and Bosh would at the very least take up 40m of the cap. Throw in Wade's retirement present and you have about 5m to work with.

Bron is not going to Cleveland. Hes just teasing Gilbert because Gilbert cried like a bitch and talked bad about Lebron when he left.

Miami should still be the favorite, no reason to think otherwise at this point.

Well Miami really hasn't done anything to improve the roster. McRoberts/Granger signings are underwhelming to say the least.

It's not like the letter was being highlighted on the website anytime in the past couple years. They took it down a few years back. It was just recently realized that it was still in the archives when an employee noticed an unusually large amount of traffic to the page following the LeBron to Cleveland rumors
