"That's it," Peterson told ESPN. "Training camp, going through the grind, OTAs and all that -- that will definitely be the deciding factor. Physically, body-wise, I'll be good. It's just mentally -- like with OTAs, I'm out there practicing, I'm going, I'm putting in work. But it's so repetitive that it's more suited toward the young guys and getting them into the system. It gets kind of boring."

He's not going to retire. He's just throwing this out there so that they'll excuse him.

well the difference is that you probably don't have the means to retire yet, as AP does. If you do, and you're bored everyday, I'd suggest you play golf or hunt more often.

No kidding right?

Drop 50 million on me and I'll keep myself busy...not at work.

That's true. He's outside and sweats, I'm in the A/C. He deserves it.

Seems kind of weird that he doesn't have the privilege of working out on his own. I'd say he's earned the right to do that. It's definitely not unheard of.

Every single NFL player over the age of 27 feels this way and considers retirement every year during this time of year.
