The Texas schedule is easy until October, when the Horns play OSU, OU and Baylor. A winning season still seems possible.

Did they man to say the schedule gets easy in October?

Strong has gone 5-7 his first two seasons. Simply put, a winning season isn't going to cut it this year. Especially with Tom Herman ripe for plucking in Houston. Our "premier" Notre Dame win has just gone to shite. Our defense, Strong's specialty, is absolute garbage. Given one of the better NCAA coaches is going to move on soon and he's located in our state...Strong's going to have to do much better than a winning season in my opinion. Losing to Cal isn't a great start...

Have you looked at your October schedule?

@ Alabama
Vanderbilt
Mississippi State
@ Missouri

How will you possibly manage?

What has hurt Texas has benefited LSU. That's getting a season finale matchup against A&M. The Longhorns won 9 of the last dozen meetings and LSU hasn't lost against the Aggies.

Pair the season ending win with a bowl win and that's a lot of momentum headed into recruiting season.

How many wins would cut it?

I'm hoping for 3-1.

But my point, they play OU, OSU and Baylor. OU got blown off the field by Houston, and OSU lost to Central Michigan.

Have you seen the Texas defense? They could get boat raced in all three of those games.

The point is the fact that the author nearly took word for word an article written in the Oklahoman in 2006 about Dennis Franchione and made minimal changes to it, resulting in a completely accurate view of Charlie Strong.

Here's the irony: Franchione went 9-4 in that season in question. Do we really think Strong will lose 4 games or fewer in 2016?

Good possibility with their schedule. They just lost one game, not the end of the world.

An aggy starting a thread about UT? That's new.

How about 62-15, 63-14, 24-0, etc.
