Part of the argument of GOAT team consists of college dominance as well as future football success

2019 lsu and 1995 Nebraska dominate 2001 Miami based on actual college dominance and strength of wins.

But 2001 Miami dominates 1995 Nebraska on success in the pros

So 2 years removed, let’s check how lsu is doing with early nfl success

quote:

Top 5 WRs according to NFL players and coaches

1. Davante Adams
2. Cooper Kupp
3. Ja’Marr Chase
4. Justin Jefferson
5. Tyreek Hill

Top 5 QBs according to NFL players and coaches

1. Aaron Rodgers
2. Patrick Mahomes
3. Josh Allen
4. Tom Brady
5. Joe Burrow

Yikes. 2019 lsu is like the spawn freak mutant of 2001 Miami and 1995 Nebraska

Fulton and Delpit are above average nfl starters right now.

Queen and Chaisson are having a hot and cold start to their career so far.

Stingley will be interested to see how he does this year

So that’s still over half of the 2019 defense starting in the nfl. That alone is solid as a rock considering the offense is just shitting on the nfl

Remember, Lewis, Charles, and Cushenberry are all slightly above average nfl starting o lineman too

I would argue that the colds have been a lot more prominent than the hots.

That LSU 2019 offense with the 2001 Miami defense would be quite the squad.

for Chaisson yes, the Jags being the Jags and changing his position was not beneficial. But Queen was All-Rookie his first year

Well that's obvious. Nebraska wasn't a Pro constructed team.

If you plays by the 90s rules, Nebraska smokes LSU.

If you play by the 2010s rules, LSU smokes Nebraska.

Pass interference and linemen downfield.

LSU 19 would skull drag both and even a combined team.

People try way too hard to be contrarian just because this is an LSU-based site

There’s absolutely nothing you can say to me that would make me believe 01 Miami would beat 19 LSU.. it would be a 42-21 type beatdown

ETA: people put way too much emphasis on personnel for these conversations.. to me, if you’re matching them up you have to worry about schemes too. Brady and Burrow would slice right through that defense and it wouldn’t be hard

I would have to see the rosters to compare size. I'm thinking LSU has a significant size advantage on the offensive and defensive line

Yea I’d imagine 2019 LSU has a massive advantage on the line just from size, also our Wrs would dwarf most dbs

Did Ed Reed ever give up 42 points in his entire career? Those 50/50 balls 2019 LSU lived off of are a different issue with someone like him on the field.

This isn't the 1950's. Bryant McKinnie, Vince Wilfork, Joaquin Gonzalez, Carlos Joseph, William Joseph, Jerome McDougle...Those guys weren't small.

We wouldn't need 42. That offense with Dorsey at QB isn't doing anything significant against LSU's D.

This reminds of of the 2006 v. 2011 LSU debates. When one tam is completely compromised on one side of the ball, it tips the argument completely.

What are the differences? I didn't watch CFB in 1995 to know what their linemen downfield rules were

Floridas offense in 95 managed 297 yards passing and 24 points against Nebraska in the fiesta bow. While that was an innovative passing attack at the time, Joe burrow and the 2019 passing attack would completely bewilder the Nebraska defense

LSUs offense would name their score and yardage

Not saying LSU wouldn't win comfortably. Just saying this hanging 42 on that Miami team and saying LSU would have a massive advantage on the lines is just foolish. 19 of the 22 starters on that Miami team played in the NFL. 38 players were drafted. Many HOFers. To act like LSU would just steamroll them I think is not genuine.

2019 lsu is right there

And 2019 played far better as a college team than 2001 Miami. That isn’t even close. 2001 Miami as a college unit and season isn’t even a top 15 team
