a good defender. He says that he is great at making the spectacular block, but he has never been great one-on-one and doesnt move well on defense.

He said he respects players like Pippen, Jordan and Kobe a lot more because of the great defense they played and the effort that it takes.

I don't agree. A big part of the very good Heat's defense was because all of them could switch/blitz the perimeter ball handlers and keep them from turning the corner

You could say he has coasted more in his 2nd stint though

Lebron is a rare talent that has/can guard any position. Your "knowledgable basketball guy" is biased or doesn't know shite. Why don't you make open ended, bait threads on a different board.

You mean "6-time all defense team" LeBron?

The only thing LeBron cannot defend is his hairline

Knowledgeable...I don't think so.

The only knock on Lebrons defense is that he has a tendency to coast and take off plays. That only happens in the regular season, though. It has never cost his team when it counted.

If that's the case, Lebron would have a history of letting his man score 30+ points every game.

He'll fit right in on this board.

Yep. He does a lot of that in the regular season, but you can't argue the results.

And when you look at his minutes played at his age compared to all other current players, you can't blame him one bit for coasting here and there in meaningless regular season 2nd quarters.

tell that dope to go check out the year Lebron shut down Derrick Rose when Rose was in his prime. Lebron was the only player fast enough to keep up with Rose.
