Wednesday is best practice round. I've been a couple times, and each time is better than the last. Those guys are animals

I was there on Monday last year. It was really neat seeing the course brand new and untrampled early Monday morning. It was still stunning yesterday, but not quite as flawless. Other than that I agree that Wednesday is the better day. The par 3 deal gets em all congregated for you and you have wave after wave of golfin badasses coming right in front of you.

Phil is kind of cliquish and kind of arrogant about his money. Tiger doesn't talk to a whole lot of people. O'Mera, Stricker, and the Foley clan and not many more.

I'm actually surprised at how relatively cheap the concession prices are.

It's always been that way. They don't need the money. Same reason why tickets are like $50-100 face value.

IIRC the money from the patrons (tickets and concessions) just covers the operating expenses for the week. CBS' $100+ Million they pay for the rights to this keeps them going. Initiation fees to the course are only $15,000 too...

Nah me, Phil my dad and uncle went this year. Me and Phil flew out there Tuesday and back last night. Pops and unc took a few days and played golf a couple times on the way out there and are golfing their way home. Old retired folk can do that sort of thing.

Good stuff. I haven't seen Phil in a coon's age, your pops either, for that matter.

Tell them both I said hi.

Going to make it out there one of these days. Looks like a great time.
