Seventh graders really shouldn't be protecting cheaters.

Sets a bad example.

fascinating that people are so easily manipulated by the NFL's media, including apparently federal judges.

They did the same with Bounty Gate.... Goodell's background is in PR work, go figure.... That's why the idiot still has a job... He's great at spin... I'm sure some high ranking politician could hire him if he's ever fired from the NFL...

The Wells report physics argument, based on multiple experiments as well as theoretical modeling, runs as follows.[8]:Appendix 1, 63-68 Several conjectured sources of variability (differences in game use, alleged "vigorous rubbing" by the Patriots before play, leakage during the game, and variations in football volume) can be set aside as they have no discernable effect. Based on documented habit, as well as the recollections of referee Walt Anderson, the Patriots balls were (as usual) set around 12.5 psi, and the Colts balls around 13.0 psi, before their games. The ideal gas law shows that footballs inflated in a warm environment will drop in pressure in a cold environment; however, a football is not a thermos, and the footballs would have rapidly started to re-inflate when taken to the officials' locker room for halftime testing. (Wells estimates that the Patriots balls had 2-4 minutes to repressurize before measurements began; the measurements themselves spanned an estimated 4-5 minutes.[8]:70) Most or all of the Patriots and Colts footballs should have mostly warmed up to room temperature and substantially reinflated by the time each measurement occurred. In addition, there is a minor problem of variability: to give one example, it is hard for a temperature-based theory to explain why Patriots ball #2 tested fully 0.6 psi lower than Patriots ball #1, when both ball #1 and #2 started before the game at the same psi. If temperature is the major factor, the Patriots psi should stay roughly the same, or gradually increase, as subsequent balls are tested, rather than bouncing all over the place.

quote:

Patriots ball Blakeman Prioleau
#1 11.50 11.80
#2 10.85 11.20
#3 11.15 11.50
#4 10.70 11.00
#5 11.10 11.45
#6 11.60 11.95
#7 11.85 12.30
#8 11.10 11.55
#9 10.95 11.35
#10 10.50 10.90
#11 10.90 11.35
So the average second reading for the patriots balls were 11.29. A drop of 12.5-11.29= 1.20

The Colts measurment
quote:

Colts ball Blakeman Prioleau
1 12.70 12.35
2 12.75 12.30
3* 12.50 12.95
4 12.55 12.15

The reading average for the colts was 12.53. So 13.0-12.53= a drop of .46.

So, the chubby kid who looks like a McDondalds Manager needs to explain why the weather caused over double the PSI drop in the Patriots balls.

Look, it makes people look ridiculous who think the Patriots didnt deflate the balls. At this point, you look like fools with everything we know.

However, the penalty is also ridiculous. It should be a fine and let's all move on

I have no idea if they did it intentionally or not. But the fact remains the ball pressure went below the requirements. And just like in the real world, ignorance is not an excuse.

Lulz, the NFL didn't even know WTF the ideal gas law was. Talk about ignorance.

You're not going to relent from your point, we get it.

Read my post. The NFL knows the ideal gas law. But there is no law that explains why the Patriots balls dropped 1.2 and the colts .46. That is significant and shows tampering.

It is obvious with what we had that Tom Brady and the Patriots deflated the footballs. However, the penalty should have been 25k like the rule states.

Don't they have text messages proving tom Brady liked his balls slightly deflated?
Pretty sure there are no text messages that show just how deflated he liked the footballs.

I don't think there were ever any texts leaked that showed much of anything, to be honest.

This thread is just full of NFL talking points that have been debunked already

I like how they think that they can compare the "change" in PSI, when the NFL didn't measure the PSI before the game. There is no starting point. You have no idea where each side started off with at the beginning of the game and where they ended up

have any of you ever run a basic science experiment where there is no control group or an even starting point? Of course no unless you don't know what you're doing. And that's what the NFL did

Not to mention you are comparing 12 balls to 4 which proves yet again how bungled the entire investigation was. The FBI on the show The Following were more competent investigators than the NFL, anyone can see that unless they don't let themselves

Poor Kevin Bacon.

At first it was ok, I mean the whole Poe thing yeah a little played out, but I wasn't wanting to vomit.

Then, somehow, an army of crazy assassin types just start popping up EVERYWHERE. I mean, where did all these people come from? How are their lines of communication not insanely evident?

In short, I am as big a Kevin Bacon fan as you can find, and even I can't watch that dog shite.

1. Kevin Bacon
2. Kevin Spacey
3. Kevin Smith
4. Kevin Kline
5. Kevin Connolly.

Yes they did, it was with a ball gauge that costs less than $5.00 but they do measure the PSI.

A Broken meter, with ref that can remember exactly

There's a reason the NFL has decided to start bold face lying in the courts. They are desperate.

It was so bad

"ITS POE!"

What's POE?

Edgar Allen Poe! I'm an expert in POE! No one else even knows who Poe is because clearly no one in this show has higher than a 5th grade education.

Also I have this pace maker. I can run 10 miles to a house in the woods, but I can stand to tussle with a 100 pound girl for 2 seconds without it going haywire

2015 NFL fumble stats (2015, you know, this past season,. when the Patriots' footballs were watched like hawks):

New England 3rd best team in NFL in 2015 in terms of fumbles and fumbles lost.

Also, wasn't that debunked becuase while the Pats lost very little fumbles, the actual number of fumbles didn't really stand out at all?

Could be wrong, but I think the original "gotcha" moment was based on fumbles lost and not fumbles, which is an important distinction.

Lol. The NFL has multiple times stated they don't have a true recording of what the pre-game pressure readings were.

Well, assuming the Patriots didnt cheat the lowest they could be is 12.5. So at Minimum the patriots balls are at 1.20 drop. The colts balls had been measured multiple times throughout the year and they were at 13.0 in pregame situations. They also interviewed Colts players and management and they stated 13.0 was the pressure they had their balls at. So .46 would be the drop. All common sense points towards the Patriots tampering with the balls. All common sense also points towards the penalty only being a 25k fine

Will taking away the power to suspend be one of the main issues for the players during the next CBA after deflate gate, bounty gate, and Ray Rice?
