Again, the same was said after Brandon Jennings did it, but it didn't start an exodus.

Yep. It's not like guys are going over there to chase money, because it really isn't that lucrative.

Brandon Jennings couldn't qualify to play at Arizona, which is mainly why he went over.

There are plenty of guys that were big time high school prospects that go to Europe and just fizzle out for diff reasons.

Name one of them. Jennings is the only top-flight example that I can recall. Sure, there are going to be some lesser players that do, but he is the only example of a top-10 talent making the jump.

Like I said earlier, not surprising with him coming from Prime Prep.

Whoever let Deion Sanders start a school should be taken out back and given the Ole Yeller treatment

Yeah, that school seems shady as hell.

They have been making headlines here in Dallas ever since that school first opened and not for good reasons

Haven't they gotten several players to transfer illegally only to be ruled ineligible before the season starts? I remember there were thoughts Mickey could run into trouble. It just seems like players will start to see it for what it is and just stay put.

I guess it depends on your definition of worked out. he absolutely HATED his experience overseas and was miserable.

But he still got drafted top 10.

Well that makes a lot of sense... I mean it is SMU

Truth

Going overseas to play for a year could be a lot of fun. Get a nice pay check and be around European women

That's my definition of worked out. I hated my last year at LSU, but I definitely benefited from it.

Didn't he skip his senior year of high school?

This. I bet it is strictly because of eligibility.

Seems like the kid would not qualify due to academics. Heading to the Chinese league.

Prime Academy strikes again. Don't think he was going to be eligible.

I'm not so sure. People said Brandon Jennings was stupid, too, but it worked out just fine for him.

It's stupid because he's going to make a quick buck when he's going to be rich in a year anyway. He's giving up on banging hot white rich smu broads to hang out in turkey.

it's definitely stupid.

I saw him play his junior year of high school against Renardo Sidney's team.

no but i've never had such an easy decision in front of me. an awesome year in college versus playing in some shite eastern european city. end result you make millions anyway. its a no brainer.

now if he somehow lucked up and got paris or something that might be different.
