This is a major problem with football stadiums and alcohol and it happens way too much. no way I would take my kids to a football game.
This is the trash of the trash. there should be harsher penalties legally for fighting. NFL stadiums need to have more boots on teh streets in every section of the stadium to stop the escalating trashtalking in teh stands before it gets out of hand.

I haven't been to a NFL game so I'm no expert. The away games I've been to in College have mostly been cool but I haven't exactly 'mingled' around with people I didn't know.
I don't think the NFL wants this kind of story getting out because it hurts business, whereas rivals are always ready to knock each other.
I could not disagree more, alcohol being sold has nothing to do with why these idiots are going to fight. They are fighting because they live broken lives they try to self medicate through sports. Not selling Alcohol is just going to punish the 'good' fans and not even get close to fixing the problem.

Time to start doing ticket allotments in the NFL and separate the fan bases with security or cops like in European soccer.
And if someone is in away colors in the home section they get kicked out.

The Silverdome was amazing for fights. Cutting out 15k fans when they went to Ford Field has worked wonders. I think they also have a number to text your section if you're having trouble.

you telling me alcohol plays no part in this? I've seen it in person at REliant stadium...dude starts with friendly trash talk to another fan, keeps drinking adn by 3rd quarter he's yelling eff bombs and antagonizing and it just escalates as he keeps drinking.
I do agree that there is an element of fans that place way too high an importance on teh games and their team loyalty, etc... but alcohol is a major factor

The kind of person that's going to get unruly is going to do so sober too, but more so while drunk. A LOT more effective method is to selectively revoke drinking privileges from problem fans instead of punishing absolutely everyone.

Banning drinking is just a 'look tough' regulation that doesn't fix anything. Drinking is banned at Bryant Denny and you better believe some of those fans come in wasted. Good job, they just moved when they drank. Otherwise they'll sneak it in, and there is no 100% method to stop that.

It does happen, I've seen it before. Some chick sucker punched a dude as I was walking out of the Nigeria USA friendly in Jax. They both seemed completely sober and no slurring/stumbling as they wrestled/fought.

this seals the deal that SF fans in any sport are possibly the worst pro sports fans on earth. Never in my life have i seen more fights at pro sports games than at games involving their teams. Congrats SF...You are trash

this was an epic fail of massive proportions at the Cardinals stadium. this went on for minutes and no police ever show up while women are beaten and choked adn blood is flying. just some wimpny dudes in security shirts.
