More of the AD sticking it to Clarett rather than trying to help him out. Tyrann was supported through and through at LSU.

I'm not saying he could've gotten his life in order after the fact, because we can all see he didn't. I just don't think OSU handled it correctly

The only thing I agree was BS was the funeral/flight situation. The AD seemed like a dick but you suck it up play three years and make millions. The system isn't necessarily fair but you risk way too much trying to fight it as he found out.

Anyone else think Clarett wouldn't have been all that great in the NFL regardless?

It seemed like they were preventing him from playing which caused him to go off the grid.

That's the best part. Tressel is conflicted and has a lot of demons and snake in him, and he is 1000x the man Urbs the mercenary will ever be.

Why didn't Clarett transfer to another school? Wasn't it an OSU self imposed penalty?

It's Gene Smith now. I think Clarett would have been a solid NFL back had he been in shape and not an alcoholic

If you followed Maurice on Twitter, he was very open an honest about his responsibility in his downfall

That was my thought, but it seems like he was so connected to Ohio and Tressel, he didn't want to leave

Hindsight is 20/20 though

Might as well be a middle school.

I've always liked tress. Met him once and was a great normal guy. Wish we didn't let him go.

Maurice would have been great in Denver's zone blocking running game but 2 years away from playing and alcohol had sapped his body of needed reps.

He should have went to cfl, played 3 years and then came to nfl.

Fricking this. I was done with Urbs arse after the Cam Newton ordeal and him spending his year on ESPN bitching about the integrity of tSEC which all now know was complete hypocritical bullshite on his part

Correct me if I am wrong, but if you declare for the NFL draft you are ineligible completely for the NCAA. It would not matter at all if he transferred.
