So LSU has 12 players on the team that were 2 stars or worse?

Eh, it's pretty damn interesting.

Right, if nothing else to see how accurate the original projections really were and how it correlates to on field success. Can also say a lot about player development.

The only top 10 team that really seems to be underachieving is USC. Others have been at least in the mix if not won some conference/national titles recently.

Yea, it directly shows how teams tend to do when they have the most players that are highly ranked by 247.

Actually, it shows how teams tend to do when they have the most players that are highly ranked in a composite ranking of all the major recruiting sites.

Shows how overrated Saban is. He has the most talent by far. If he was as good as coach as everyone says it should lead to way more championships

I think it's dumb to evaluate players who have been around a few years based on their recruiting rankings.
If anything, it's an evaluation of recruiting sites

How does USC have 84 scholarship players if they were on probation over the last 4 years? Or did the probation end well before that?

I'm not sure if that 84 number is scholarship players or roster players. As far as I can tell, USC currently has 77 scholarship players for 2015.

Well, he's the guy who got the talent to come there. I think people misunderstand what makes Saban great: he is the best recruiter in college football history. He doesn't beat you with yours'n... his'n are flat better.

I think this is interesting, if you use at as a tool to see how teams turn raw talent into production.

TCU

Doing more with less than anybody else in the country.

I'd say Missouri would be up there, before TCU. tcu has brought in some top talent from Texas.

Then look at the 2 and 3 star kids Missouri has, who have made significant strides in their 3-4 years.

One could also say KST and Snyder should be among the top. He has like a 2 deep depth chart of 2/3 star and walk ons. and he wins
