Reed was good in the European match play that was done in this format back in October. I think Illonen beat Stenson in the finals. He really does love this format the same way Poulter does, and probably even more so.

I'm more excited for next year when hopefully it gets moved to Austin Country Club.

I wonder if it will stay at ACC (assuming that's where it goes) or if it will move to the new Crenshaw/Coore muni track that's supposed to be built in East Austin. I remember reading that they want the new course to attract a yearly PGA tournament.

I know the members of ACC have to vote on it, and some aren't happy about how the course is going to be shut down for a couple weeks at least every year. We'll see because I would love for it to be there, even though I'm not exactly sure how many places there are on the course for hospitality tents and stands.

Bitchy members

They want to be able to hack up their 100's 52 weeks out of the year, not 50.

Gotta wonder if they get complacent with big clothing contracts.

He was wearing his phone out at the Zurich......well at least the two rounds he was there. Might have to ditch the girlfriend to get his game back.

I think it has a little bit to do with the members being old, and not sure how much golf they have left to play. I'll ask around and find out what % chance there is it ends up at ACC. Im not sure what other course they'd look at since the contract is from 2016-2019 as of now.

Were the top 16 protected and then the random draw from there on out?

Hell of a player. He dug his game out of the dirt on muni's. You could probably count the fairways he missed on one hand. RIP.

RIP Cal. I used to enjoy watching him play. He was living proof you can play the game without keeping your left elbow straight.

i heard on TGC that he broke his arm as a kid and it wasn't properly set resulting in his unorthodox swing.
