i'm just catching up since last night
1. philly did great. i am still not sold on their actual plan, but last night was a perfect move for their current status. jason thompson isn't total garbage and he wont' rock the boat (he's not bynum) and he solves any salary floor issues. they get a good haul, too. their main issue is the timing of when they can kill FA. those rookie deals are going to start coming due and they'll have to pay
2. i can see 2 selling points for LMA. first, phoenix has a great 3 guard rotation, chandler to do the dirty work (we all know LMA isn't the hardest big man), and some solid frontcourt guys like the morris twins. the second point is their training staff. LMA is getting up there and those guys work magic. long-term they may be better than SA (with duncan/parker being old as frick) but i don't know if that team can win a title. it creates an interesting dillema.
3. sacremento may be the biggest shite show since the lakers with dwight/kobe/nash. rondo and karl are like oil and water + fire and acid and vitriol and racism and whatever other abbrasive additive/combo you can imagine. add in ellis? with boogie? and gay? we're talking isiah-era knicks level of disfunction. cannot fricking wait.

Singular all encompassing threads are terrible. I gotta catch up on 20 pages to find out what's going on instead of reading thread headlines on page 1 maybe 2
The last five pages are fluffing Sam Hinkie and the 20 win juggernaut he has put together. You can skip those.

Yeah, we don't need every slapdick starting their own team's FA thread, even if there isn't much else going on now.
SFP gets an A for that post. Would have been an A+ with ammonia/bleach.

...don't forget, Sacramento has had serious recent interest in a very available FA/Rondo BFF Josh Smith.

i was trying to remember 7th grade science class where we got to mix small amounts of chemicals to see reactions. alluminum reacts violently with something iirc

i was literally going to joke last night the only way they could make that locker room more rough is to go for smith next

Lakeshow
interesting that ppl use this to still refer to the Lakers. I've always considered the Lakeshow to be just the Van Exel/ Ceballos/ EJ/ Vlade/ Campbell group (which is when the nickname originated), and that group only.
but anyway, for all the foundering around the franchise seems to be doing, I think they should actually use the Lakeshow blueprint and build a the team through the draft (with a couple reasonably-priced vets to help guide the youngins), get back to some semblance of relevance, and then try to get the big name free agent. ultimately it looks like they may have to do that out of necessity than choice, but it's almost embarrassing to watch right now.
gotta get this thing back on track so my delusions of a Hawk-Lakers finals can happen.

If they get Rondo, Ellis and Smith, I'm buying NBA League Pass just to watch their games

Just tell Michael Beasley the vet min contract he is about to sign is a max deal.

JR Smith and Iman Shumpert have to stay on the same team, it should be an NBA mandate
My mom gonna see this!

I'm opening up to him as a Mavs 6th man if need be
And damn it, DeAndre and Wesley Matthews need to hurry up and sign with the Mavs. I'm growing impatient

yeah i don't think jr smith is a locker room cancer. he can be an on the court cancer if you expect to change him
when you get jr, you have to understand what you're getting. CLE understood and he fit in just fine there
