No one is in Simmons league, I don't see how he didn't win it. This is Hech's first year with a positive UZR or DRS though, and Crawford is really good.

As a prospect his glove was a liability, he's made crazy strides as a defender.

3 straight Gold Gloves, only 24

Machado would have 3 straight and is only 22

Congrats to hometown boy, Brandon Crawford! He was the QB on my son's 7th grade flag football team! Great athlete in both FB and BB, chose baseball when he was recruited by UCLA.

Miami was doing some really funky things with Hech's positioning and him just not being mentally prepared. He flashed amazing defensive plays in 2014, but also some head scratchers, this year he put it all together.

One of my favorite stories. He was a fringe defender as a prospect and thought of moving him off the position. He works so hard and so coachable as well. It makes me believe he will start taking more pitches. Watching Nolan's growth, I am tempted to believe he will have a 15% walk rate next year (mostly joking)

Also, Simba is definitely the best defensive shortstop. It is a shame for Hechaverria and Crawford who are both really talented defenders in their own right.

For whatever reason, I always see Andrelton play terrible in the field and hit a bomb when I see the Braves play live. Probably have seen about five homers and four errors in the five games I have recently attended. It is bizarre.
