I was 9 and barely remember it, but I was there.

Glad my mom wanted it to be one of the events we saw.

I was only 9 and remember watching this. It is really the only time in my life I watched the Gymnastics portion before. I remember thinking Dominique M. (??? on spelling was hot). Hah...definitely a fiery, intense moment when she hit that landing. Didn't the two girls before her keeping falling?

Dominique Dawes. The second hottest Dominique on the team. I was 12. I loved those gals

very bad-arse if you were there in person ... even if you were 9 and didn't appreciate it then, it'll stick with you for life ...

Due to a math error, her score wasn't even necessary. That said, great performance.

That was quite the amazing American Olympic moment. I remember was it John Tesh, his call was pretty awful though on the whole thing. Not Al Michael like at all.

Also, Shannon Miller is even better looking now than in '96:

It was tape delayed. fricking Channel 6 in New Orleans spoiled the ending during the 5 pm news.

With massive respect to Kerri...I'd go back another 20 years to Shun Fujimoto of Japan for that title... LINK
