I lot of people have tried to emulate that night, but none has matched it.

Lebron fans hating Jordan is kind of like bull dykes hating men. It's just a strange, unnecessary kind of jealousy.

Yeah, I don't think any Lebron fans hate MJ.

It's MJ fans that are always looking at Lebron saying "MJ never did that" or "he can't do what MJ did."

I always wondered why people refer it to the flu game. MJ was sick due to food poisoning.

Best there ever was. So much enjoyment watching that man play basketball. He wasn't the best athlete on the court, he was the best basketball player on the court. The man was unbelievable.

Right, Lebron fans never do this.

I am not a Jordan fan or a Lebron fan. I've seen both play. Jordan was better. That should not be viewed as a knock on Lebron, but these fanboys take it personally. I'm guessing that includes you based on your "it's all mj fans and never lebron fans" bullshite.

I think *most* Lebron fans want to just enjoy him for what he is. Of course there are a few that try to overstate his greatness.

I just see a larger contingent of MJ fans that want to keep reminding everyone how good he was by pushing Lebron down. I watched both of them play too. I think everyone knows he's better. You'd think MJ fans would be secure enough to leave it at that and let history speak for itself. Yet you can't make a Lebron thread without someone going "yeah but he's not MJ." Never fails.

Even in the MJ threads MJ fans take shots at Lebron when it's not warranted. Happened in this thread. Come on man.

If you watched Jordan play and then watch Lebron play you'd notice quite easily that Jordan was the better player. Lebron's got Jordan on size easily and passing as well. You could also say his three is better as Jordan never would take as many as Lebron does ( its a different league these days ). However, watching Jordan spin left or right on his fadeaways, befuddling defenders was a joy, watching Lebron bull his way in, relying on his aestheticism and size isn't quite the same. I like that Lebron is starting to get his post game improved and not rely so much on being stronger, bigger and faster than his defender as these advantages fade with age. Lebron also has to improve his mental game. Too often you see him almost break down, with bad shot after bad shot. He does come through sometimes, but too many times he'll defer too much or throw up clunkers.

Overall, I'd say Lebron is the only true successor to MJ's throne. Not Kobe, not Wade, not all these other pretenders that have come and gone. Lebron's the only one I'd put in the same echelon.

Most Lebron fans just feed the flames of the haters by responding about how great he is whenever he has a big night. It is an endless battle of haterade and dickriding.

The thread title is wrong, Lebron wasn't in the NBA back then.
