No doubt about it, the Vols are Peerless.

Peerless Price torched the Florida St secondary as Tee Martin led the Vols to the 1998 title. Oh my, how UT has fallen. Seems like this game was 30 years ago.

It just seemed so fricked up they won it all right after Peyton left.

Yep. Tee beasts Florida and wins the BCS title the year after one of the best QB's of all time graduates.

It makes perfect sense,

Peyton would have in all likelihood choked it away.

Shaun King was the best QB in college football. Better than Michael Bishop from Kansas St

Didn't FSU have a key injury, was that the title game were Weinke was hurt? Marcus Outzen started that one. Also Tennessee wouldn't have been in that title game had Kansas St not choked. They were settin up FSU/KaSt all year.

Correct. Sirr Parker led A&M to victory over K State and Miami beat UCLA.

The Rooster, he sucked and that game sucked. Tulane would've at least made it interesting.

It's funny. I thought Ohio State's 1998 and 2005 teams were Ohio State's two best teams over the last 20 years, better than the 2002 and 2014 NC teams as well as the 2006 team that lost to Florida in the NC. Their 1998 team in particular was really strong. Outside of the Michigan State game, they won all of their games by double digits. I thought they were clearly the best team in college football that year. It just shows you how much luck can play a factor in determining a national champion.

Was that because Huskers and Wolverines shared the championship the year prior?
