1280am Nola new lineup

8-10 Chris Gordy
Listened this AM, was pretty boring. Monotone, kept talking about the same stuff. Lance Moore was supposed to call in & was having trouble, and the guy didn't know what to do with the dead time.
10-12 Larry holder and jeff Duncan
Missed this one but prob the one I'm most interested in hearing
Anyone tune in?
12-2 Josh innes
I've been listening for :45 min now & hasn't said 1 thing about sports. Dudes delivery is pretty good as a radio personality but he isn't remotely funny and I'm not sure he knows much about sports
2-4 Jordy Hultberg
4-6 kaare Johnson
Will have Les Miles on later. I think he's prob the best on the dial.

I heard him mention it that he and Jim Mudd his producer were doing a midday from Houston after his new morning slot. Prayers sent.
Didn't know about CG, but he's doing it from here too. He's 790's director here.
Weird lineup, having them do a side show just for New Orleans radio from Houston.

ya Josh mentioned being remote in Houston. And that he hasnt been in New Orleans in like 4 years

Today was the new lineup/shifts at 790. Josh went from 2-6 to mornings and Matt Thomas back to midday since Lance Zierlein decided to leave mornings and focus on his NFL gigs.
JI has gotten a little better but he's still king douche. Why did they pick those 2 to remote? Because they have Louisiana ties? Nobody better on Nola radio?
Gordy is ok in small amounts when paired with someone. No way he can carry a show.

yea that is my only guess. They are trying this new format and needed to fill spots. I think Gordy, Innes and Hultberg all kind of were connected somehow from their days in the BR media

Yeah it's odd to me that Gordy has his own show by himself. He seems like a likeable guy but has a extremely boring voice.

I like Gordy when he does the Astros' post-game show on SportsTalk 790 in Houston. How much Astros will he talk about in New Orleans? There has to be at least minimal interest.
Question, 1280AM is also on the FM dial, correct? 103.7FM in New Orleans, I believe. This will help with ratings.
As far as Josh Innes is concerned, he's not a bad guy, but he doesn't talk enough sports. He should be on Talk FM, just not in a sports capacity. I was hoping to tune in one day and listen to him talk about the Astros, and what I got was a 30-minute conversation about a penile transplant.

Innes doesn't know sports and doesn't even know the pop culture that he tries to talk about really. He'll try to talk about caddyshack or something he's heard other people say is good but you can tell he's pretending.

i listened for 1:30 in the car and he talked sports for about 5 min and it was about how he saw the saints first playoff win in person because his dad knew tom ackerman

This sucks across the board. G Kattengal goes from worst lunch option to the best. We've lost Russillo, DP and Eisen in 6 months and all have been replaced w local garbage.

Didn't his dad do some voice over which got his foot into the door? For some reason I know SFP used to go on a rampage on Innes when he posted here. That along with Joxy was always the highlights of the day. Not as much as the TD radio show though.
