Was watching at a friends house in college. It was a party and there was about 20 guys around the tv and I was the ONLY Yankees fan. I fricking loved it. One of the guys wanted to fight me. It was great.

On a cruise, and some idiot Yankee fan was running around yelling Aaron Boone!
He even stopped one of the drunk by the pool fests led by one of the cruise hosts to proudly proclaim the Yankee win.

I was on study abroad and boarding a bus headed to Prague with my classmates. One person had a laptop and was following the game before our 7AM departure time. We got on the bus the inning before Aaron Boone's homerun. We didn't know what happened in that game for another two hours or so.

Yeah, I'm a Yankees fan, but I've always thought the Boone homer has lost a lot of luster given the fact that Yankees didn't close the deal in the WS and the fact that they went on to blow the 3-0 ALCS lead the next year to the Red Sox.
Awesome at the time (I was going crazy when Posada got on base), but it didn't really end up amounting to anything.
