A guy I work with is married to a gal that has worked there since 2006. Interestingly, he actually had to exercise their options over a year ago. He said he thought it was such a low basis, that it was worth making the bet. But they know of lots of employees that simply did not exercise.

I wonder if he had any suspicion a year ago that they would IPO?

Does anybody understand how there "zestimates" are calculated? It says my house is $80k more than what it is really worth and every other house on my block seems to be way below their real values.

The Seattle-based company’s stock, trading on the Nasdaq Stock Market under the symbol Z, climbed 79 percent to $35.77 as of 4 p.m. New York time, after earlier tripling to $60. Zillow raised $69.2 million yesterday selling 3.46 million shares at $20 apiece, above the offering range of $16 to $18.

Putting LinkedIn to shame, at least they have a profit and a half decent concept.

Yeah I was aware of the performance today, which was certainly exciting. I was more or less referring to the fact of a Zillow IPO. I want something with some chutzpah. I just feel like we have a lot of Toms, Dicks and Harrys IPO'ing right now.

Gee whiz. It literally didn't uptick a single cent higher than where it opened yesterday.
