Worrysome phone calls

TL;DR Received 4 calls on 2 different lines from 2 different people looking for 1 guy who is not me supposedly about "fixing his credit". What do I do now?
I just received 4 straight phone calls from two different guys about fixing my credit. (3 to cell phone and 1 to work phone) The scary thing is they were all asking for another person by name. I don't think this could be coincidence as they were calling from 919 area codes (local to me) whereas my cell is 225 area code and work number is 985 area code.
When I received the last call on my work phone, I told the guy to flag whatever account he was looking into because both numbers he tried were incorrect. Now I'm spooked. What should I do?

I would pull my credit report and check it. If someone is using your work/cell numbers they may have more of your info and using it for credit lines.

I freaked about this recently too. I was getting fifty calls a day on multiple lines to "Refi my business debt at a lower rate", and all the guys acting like I reached out to them and that they we're returning my calls (I don't have debt). I was sure someone had attempted a loan with my info.
Long story short, an a-hole friend entered my info on Lendingtree.com as a prank. It's actually kind of funny, but getting old. I might have to change my phone numbers. They are the most persistent cold callers I've ever dealt with. Hundreds calling damn near 24/7. If you really hate someone, sign them up there. He signed up personally and after the tsunami of calls he thought it'd be funny to do as a prank to his buddies...

Pulled a credit report from TransUnion and don't notice anything unexpected. I may get Experian too, just to check.

Sounds like you entered your information on a website (possibly for financing) and it was sold. The credit repair companies just got it.
