When I was in the corporate work force I did this one time. I won the battle but my boss won the war. He ripped my arse in the next performance appraisal and screwed me out of a raise. Lot of stuff about me not being a team player even though I had the best work performance #s in my region. I was glad when he moved to a different dept. soon after

Another thing to consider..performance wise how does your department compare to those that utilize flex time?

As I stated earlier I've discussed all this with my boss. I've posted his responses as well.
My thinking all along was to let it ride and wait it out. Not trying to attempt a coup, and there's enough movement in companies where things open up. So I'll probably just stay quiet.

He's not complaining about working a 40 hour workweek. He's frustrated that his company allows a flex work schedule that would benefit his personal situation but his boss doesn't allow it.

Had an employee go over my head (cc in email for no reason)..didn't bother me..he didn't like directors response so he cc'd the cio. Lol, this guy "made the list" and it's not my list or the directors. Just wait him out, maybe he will even change if the entire group wants it bad enough. Like most managers I didn't read your first post completely. Ha.
