I feel that the interface is too simple, I'd like to have more data and options. Also, I'd like if they would allow shorts, puts, etc. The three day crap when you sell a stock makes it difficult to day trade unless you have money already on the sidelines.

I read somewhere that they plan to offer that in the future. I mean they only just launched their android app and they can't be a big operation yet

It free. If you want fully robust system, you have to pay.

Of course it has shortcomings, it's free!

It's great for the purpose I use it for.

At $7.99/trade fees, I only make large trades with minimal risk.

With Robinhood, I can make $500-1k trades and get in and out of investments without worrying about commissions.

It's allowing me to develop my trading skills and research more companies.

I've learned more about trading over the last 8 months with robin hood than I ever would have learned at $7 a trade

I understand that, just pointing out some of the shortcomings as asked.

I wouldn't mind paying for the app, say $5-$10, for a more robust interface. And for the trading options, I would be fine with small fees like $1-3 per trade. Since this is primary used for "play money" and learning by lots of people, they would have to keep fees low to not eat into profits for the non standard trading.
