I have 3 friends who graduated from Wharton. They live in a completely different world with that degree.

I know one who graduated from Wharton. They still live in my world.
But with just a bit more money.

I work with Wharton people. They live a good life but they are smart people. The Wharton degree just lets people know this before talking with them

The different world I mean is all 3 of them had numerous Wall Street/Fortune 500 mid-upper level management offers waiting for them at graduation all starting btw $150-200k.
The other world is some other shool MBA grad friends who had to go look for jobs and end up taking positions as regional sales reps starting at $50k

You could. I'd more likely just mention it in an interview.

Located in the city? 150k in NYC is living OT poor.
Definitely opens doors but from my experience, people who fought for those positions from more humble places are as valued and competitive.
It isn't the free lunch path like Wharton is of course

Kid I went to high school with is highly intelligent. Went to West Point and served as a tank officer of some kind in Afghanistan a few times. He's now at Wharton.
He is gonna kill it when he gets done

Getting into Wharton takes a little effort and accomplishment.

I meant free lunch in that graduating from Wharton opens doors that others have to fight for

West Point + Wharton/Ivy MBA basically guarantees financial success. My dad is an alumnus and his entire graduating class basically is a who's who of upper management
My dad decided to be a career man . JK Super proud

David Wessels, a professor at Wharton, taught our Finance/Valuation course during my Emory MBA and we asked him about differences between the two schools. Without pause, he said "The students at Wharton are smarter than you and better looking". We all laughed. . . he didn't.

There are a lot of smart people at most legit MBA programs.
At a place like Wharton though, ONLY smart people are in their MBA program
Clear difference there

I wanted to figure out a MBA true value so I am using a Jewish tinder to figure that out. Wanted to use my experiment/research for a stanford article but can't because I'm not a student there.
What I have determined so far is the value in a MBA is in the state - national power that name has.
