Not sure what you are referring to, but I do remember several dummies swearing up and down 6-8 months ago the vehicle market was about to go over a cliff or crash.
A few said it about the used market and the reasoning was because this one time they saw a bunch of cars on a repo lot in their small town.

Used cars have crashed relative to where they were in 2021 and early 2022.

15 straight months of used car prices dropping.

People are naturally pessimistic. It’s an evolutionary survival thing.

Add in someone in the WH with the wrong letter next to his name and it’s just doom wishing.

I haven't seen that drop in our area.
I've got 2 teenagers who have been shopping twice in the last 24 months and a third teenager shopping for the first time since November.

My daughter bought a 2015 Sentra with 89,000 miles for $8k out the door 2 years ago. Her car was hit and totaled and she got $7500 from the insurance (107,000 miles). We are having a helluva time finding anything without multiple accidents for $8k or less. Most of what she is seeing is list $10k and even many of those have serious red flags (rust, accidents, etc)
