I filed my taxes on Tuesday and the state still hasn't accepted the return. Anyone else who used Turbo Tax had this issue?

Damn man. Paying for state is a rip off.

That said. Haven't filed yet...

from LDR website:

The first tax returns will be processed February 15, 2013. The first refunds will issue on February 26.

I'm not asking about being processed. I'm asking about them accepting the return. My G/Fs returns were already accepted and she used HR Block. I'm still waiting for mine to be accepted.

Thanks for the response though.

The IRS just started accepting returns with education credits on them. Sometimes it takes states a couple days to catch up with the IRS, That could be an innocent reason for a delay. Otherwise the reason for non-acceptance is some sort of failed information check.

I filed mine on February 1 (efile w/ TaxAct). Got my Federal refund this past Wednesday. It still hasn't been accepted by the state.

We use Lacerte and haven't had any accepted by the state since Tuesday. Neither has another firm we called. I'm with Poodle, the IRS starting to accept returns with the education credits on them probably flooded the state and they're backlogged.

from LDR site

Under LDR’s new fraud prevention system, all state income tax returns are subject to verification with state-of-the-art identity authentication software. The first tax returns will be processed February 15, 2013. The first refunds will issue on February 26. If the system flags a return as suspicious, LDR will direct the taxpayer to a customized online data test or a telephone survey for a secure method of identity verification and final certification of the return.

I didn't use TurboTax for the state....too expensive considering you can file directly on the state's site for free.

You could've spent 10 minutes on the LDR site and saved that coin.

Yeah, he was agreeing with Poodlebrain, who posted earlier in this thread.

And from experience, when Poodle(brain) speaks, I listen.

Well as of today with Lacerte the state has delayed accepting 3407 individual tax returns. It's the most by far of any state.

eta: We still haven't gotten an acceptance on prior returns sent. It's going on 10 days now.

It's not TurboTax, it's the state. I filed two returns on Saturday using H&R Block and they're still not accepted by the state.
