Take them both to Carmax first for an appraisal. They will give you 7 days to accept their offer. They were higher than dealer trade in for me by about 2000.

I traded in 4 cars last week on a deal. Everything is possible.

Carmax has offered me significantly less than trade when I brought them my vehicle. I guess it all depends on the vehicle.

Maybe so, my daughter was getting a new XC-60 and had 2 dealers offer her only 2500 for her 2005 Altima. I took it to Carmax and got 4500 for it.

Even my SO was surprised at what Carmax gave me for the car and he is a service director at a dealership.
