Wife is pregnant again so I am looking at mid-size SUV options with third row for a little more space.

Currently have 2015 Mercedes ML350 that she loves, but with 2 car seats, it will not allow me to fold half of the rear bench down for more storage.

She is interested in the Toyota Highlander and I was just wondering if anyone was willing to let me know the OTD price of their Highlander purchase.

I can't remember exactly but I think we got our 2015 XLE for 39K and change. Fully loaded.

eta - We ended up going with the XLE and not the Limited so we could have the bench seat for our infant. Bucket seats are only available in the Limited.

We test drive the highlander, new pilot, buick enclave and pathfinder and found that the highlander had the worst ride of them all. We also needed 3 rows and have two car seats in the middle. You have to get one with captains chairs to make the 3rd row feasible. We are going with either the new pilot or enclave. I wanted to like the highlander but the ride sucked and it felt like I was sitting too low up front.

Interesting, thanks for the feedback.

She is also interested in the Acura MDX and Infiniti QX60.

I am not opposed to the Acura, but I have pretty much written the Infiniti off due to the CVT transmission. I know there have not been a swarm of problems with them in the QX60 and Pathfinder, but enough to steer me clear.

Highlanders have a CVT transmission as well, the Nissan/Infinity CVT transmissions are some of the best in the market - just like with everything else, you will only hear the bad stories - we haven't had a problem in any of our Nissans.

Yeah i don't have a CVT in my Highlander either. I went to the Toyota website to check and it says "Not Available". Maybe they did away with that for the redesign.

My friend Becca can get you best price, guaranteed! They usually price under invoice on Internet lead, if you find better price, they will beat by $200.

P.S. If you would consider Sorento, I can get you price

What is your pitch to someone to buy a sorrento over a highlander or pilot?

Just try and get the local stores to price match or come close. It's always better to buy locally especially from a service dept standpoint.

. doesn't make a bit of difference where you buy it. Any dealer is going to honor the company's warranty
