OK, I managed to pay around $3,000 out of my account to cover tuition. Everything is good on that. However, I start my first job Monday (it pays $9/hour and I will have 2 40 hour weeks and then it'll be 20 hours/week once school starts) Well, here's the deal: I have a M.I.P. I need to pay for as well as a 73 in a 55 traffic ticket. I need to pay the traffic ticket by August 17. I think the M.I.P. is going to be a shite ton of money (but I can get it expunged via a diversion program)

Do you think I should take out about $700 to make sure I can pay for this M.I.P., traffic violation, and prolly some new clothes or whatever? It's not like I won't have money coming in. What's the longest I should wait before I pay back the subsidized loan?

The going rate on pre-trial diversion for an MIP in my time was ~$350 and a day at city hall. I don't know if pre-trial gets the MIP expunged so much as dismissed.
