i was very tempted to do this several times but apparently its illegal to use student loans for this purpose

obviously it'd be hard to track, but i was too puss to chance it

it makes it worse that i may or may not have had some inside info on a smaller company's stock that has since gone up 6 times in value (split twice)

The stock market was returning 15-20% at that time IIRC, so the payoff was there. Say you lost half of it; would would still only be half as bad off as the rest of the dumbasses who loaded up.
