Not a good investment.

1) After interest, you will be paying what? $125,000 for a $114,000 gun.

2) $125,000.00 invested @ 2% interest would have been worth more than that gun will ever be.

3) To cash in this investment now you are stuck needing to find an even bigger schmuck than you.

But cool gun....and nice collector's piece.

Pretty sure that gun was valued at around $100k 20 years ago. It hasn't appreciated much.

You spent $114k on a gun?

Are you retarded?

That wasn't a rhetorical question.

Scruffy would like to know your IQ.

This particular one was made in 1991. It will only appreciate exponentially as it ages.

Well I can think of a lot of things I'd rather spend 115K on than a gun that only a handful of people are going to know enough about to admire (and let's not kid ourselves, that's why we buy shite like that), but it's your money homey.

Congrats on the collector's item.

ETA: To your original question, I don't know enough about collecting guns to know the potential return, but as a rule Americans need to stop buying vanity items that they simply want and then asking (after the fact) if it's a good investment. This gun may or may not appreciate, but there were/are tons of better places you could have dropped 115K if you were really interested in a strong return.

I got to touch after KR made me wash my hands four times. He wouldn't let me shoot it though.

I know guns, and I know that when you pay $114K for one, you may not be able to recoup that later because the pool of people willing to spend that kinda money on a rifle is extremely thin. Especially when economy shifts.

Yep, I collect old cars and some of my vehicles went down as much as $60k. But, in the end, it all comes back.

The worst part of this attempted troll is that we all know if it were true KR would have posted it on the OB instead for all of his internet friends to circle jerk over.
