Anyone hear anything about Halliburton layoffs? I visited their new facility in new Iberia this week. By the way, not very impressive and about 1/3 of the actualt size needed to function properly. I'd like to meet the fine folks who designed that place.

Well only 2 PSL's are currently moved in, not completely, about 70% and storage is almost topped out. There's literally no staging areas and the inspection building will not make it for 1 full month. Parking topped out as well. Seriously, the actual Hall employees that are moved in are freaking the frick out. Total shite show and for damn good reason

Tdulger, I forgot the best part! Haha. From what I've collected the designated 3rd party areas will now be occupied by Halliburton personnel! Word is that they ran out of cubical space so they're taking those areas lol

So for almost a decade these kats have been riding high on high gas prices and suddenly they can't afford another year or two of paying these guys?

Where did they put the money? They weren't planning on prices ever going down? Execs must of spent most of it on hookers and blow.

We are getting paycuts this Monday. No layoffs. I lost $15 a day.

I would think they kept a little.

Sounds like the brass is trying to keep off (or avoid altogether) their pay cuts/reduced bonuses as long as possible and taking the opportunity to trim some fat, as well.

That's the playbook for every other industry so I don't see what makes oil so special in that regard.
