That's after malpractice insurance. I've always been a hospital employee, so I've never really gotten into the details of the business side of things. We work on an RVU system, so you don't get screwed because of the patient population base. In my experience, doctors severely overestimate their business acumen--I'm busy enough as it is, without having to worry about the business/liability side of things. We are paid on salary with a production bonus.
