Louisiana residents have until tomorrow to pay their property taxes without a penalty.

If they are escrowed, they're paid automatically, right?

Correct, if by "automatically" you mean the homeowner doesn't have to do anything by the deadline.
The mortgage holder is obligated to pay the property taxes that have been escrowed during the year.

I still call the mortgage company or look online to make sure they paid them. Mistakes do happen.

actually the due date got extended until the 14th or 16th b/c they were late with getting the notices out...
