I'm planning to refinance my home mortgage. Anybody have suggestions on a good broker in the Baton Rouge area?

I just finished refinancing with Charlotte Guidroz of SWBC. Her number is 225.292.2601.

I also used her when we bought our house and she has always given me the best rate and never tries to hide fees or anything.

With the new GFE it is hard to hide fees but anyone who does is a POS anyways and shouldn't be in the business. Not saying always but normally brokers fees will be a little higher than a bank or correspondent lender b/c of having to pay the lender to underwrite the file. Today's rates were at 4.5% on 30yr fixed or 3.875% on 15yr fixed with no points. Good Luck with your loan.

Also, you can check bankrate.com to see about what kind of rate you should be getting.

I've used GMFS twice. No complaints. Quick, easy, cheaper than the other quotes I received.
