Is there a website to look up recent sales in East baton rouge parish? If not, where do you go to get this information?

I don't know where to find it online, but The Advocate has the property transfers in the Real Estate Section of the Sunday paper.

LINK
If it is for a specific property and you have the address or know the physical location the EBR tax assessor web site is a good place. For general info there is Zillow, but their prices seemed to get skewed by the way they collect the data.

Thanks for the link. That helps, but no sales prices are listed. Just transfer dates.

For a recent transfer the number listed as "total value" is usually the last sale price. For some reason it is in 10s of thousands, so just add a zero, total value 25000 is $250,000.00

Pretty sure Zillow pulls their sales history from public records. Very different from their "zestimates"

They're listing assessed value which is 10% of actual value for residential real estate.
