I have one exam + FA left before my ASA.
Nice!
If you don't mind me asking, about how long will your travel time to ASA have been?

If I can pass the exams and everything when I want? I started with 2 exams and ~2-2.5 years from hire date

my company hires them. Typically math or actuarial science majors. Frequently there are actuary development programs at companies like ours. Once he has passed the first exam he would be eligible for those kinds of programs.

Eligible /= Hirable
An entry level position we just interviewed for had 3 people who had 3+ exams & internships. "Referred" candidates with 2 exams no internship didn't even make it to the onsite

Most actuarial departments handle their own recruiting fromm my experience because HR doesn't really understand what we look for.
What makes someone qualified out of school is much different than 99% of other fields

Friend of mine has a Masters in Statistics from University of New Orleans. He mentioned many of the fellow classmates are becoming actuaries.
