It’s a problem of mine, but I go nuts when someone calls a Catholic School private education. This is mostly because where I’m from catholic schools are for the poors, and they aid poor families. There was almost 8 private schools within 10 miles of where I grew up and they’re far different than parochial school. At this point none are less than $40k, so when people say “private” but they really mean parochial it bothers me.
For the private schools where I grew up it includes; Pettington Prep, Lawercville Prep, The Hun School, Princeton Day School, Rutgers Prep, Chapin School, Bridge Academy.

Those schools are for parents with incomes in a different universe. Most mid size cities around the South will have private, non-parochial schools that would be affordable to typical professional type parents such as a household made up of a engineer and nurse, etc.

I’d go the public school route before I’d do parochial.
