Private Equity - Investor Software Recommendations

I work at a small private equity company with less than 100 individual/institutional investors who may participate in one or more our assets.
We currently use excel/word to generate statements of activity to investors.
Was hoping someone had recommendations on a software tool that could track investor holdings/returns and generate statements that isn't terribly expensive.

AS400 would work for you but probably not sexy and up to date enough for you - and I don't know about price.
I would start there....if you are working out of word and excel and only have 100 clients I would by adobe pro x and be done with it.
Do you have any real estate holdings? If so, look at peach tree -

It sounds like you have complex partnership issues that are usually dependent on the allocations of income/loss, deductions and credits that are determined as part of the tax return preparation. Determining amounts to distribute to each investor is usually done quarterly in conjunction with estimated tax deposit due dates. I don't know of any accounting software that does partnership tax projections and allocations.
In the past I have always done the allocations using an Excel spreadsheet until I actually prepared the tax return. And then it is simply a matter of posting the necessary reclassification and/or adjusting journal entries in the accounting software.
