I finished my licensing exam and have been shopping around the New Orleans area to pick a sponsoring broker. Are there any hidden things I am not being told about that I will regret after joining? I've talked to Gardner, Latter & Blum, Coldwell Bankers, Century 21, and Keller Williams. Which one is best for a new realtor? Also, does it make much of a difference if I am based out of Metairie instead of New Orleans?

Keller Williams has great training programs for newbies. Also, you get 100% of your commission once you hit your annual cap. In most offices you will cap around 2 million in sales. They are a good company. Very few KW offices have a duty desk and you will have to learn how to get leads. Best of luck!

The ones that you have listed are each reputable brokers and all have their pros and cons. Some provide better education, while other provide more compensation.

My old co-worker use to say “If you list you last, regardless of how small or how many you have get listings.

Good luck.
