shizzle yes it's totally unnecessary ... when we told them we didn't want/need anything in the "extra" pkg that they added the reply was you're already getting it basically free which he IS right ... I'm finding the price they told us to be real close to the invoice.
Gonna go back today with no one there and see if any of the other cars in this line have "different" pkgs added -- something else may at least suit us better. IDK.

This is a very good deal particularly for a Honda
Ask them for a tank of gas and full detail and sign the papers

Don't for one second believe that "invoice" is actually what the dealership has in the car, invoice may of at one time been that, but now it is just a number that they let get out to make people believe they are getting a good deal
That being said, Hondas have always been known to be hard to deal on

Will any thoughts on the "Deal" I'd be getting if we buy this?
Are you aware that a complete redesign for the Pilot is due out for 2014?
Is this a "want" or "need" purchase? Can it wait?

Well, it's a WANT and a NEED. My son will be 16 in July and will be getting my old vehicle ... I NEED him to be able to get where HE needs to go without ME chauffering.
I had read here that it was a 2014 redesign but then when I searched it on the net, it said 2015 so IDK???
It COULD wait but my oldest is almost 21 and this son almost 16 ... I need a break from chauffering people to and from and sharing isn't super easy even for a few months (have yet a younger dtr who needs chauffering).
This is what I found re: 2014 Pilot design.

I'd honestly avoid a Honda Pilot until after the redesign...and that's a big if.
The whole "durability" selling point of a Honda means nothing to me after only 6 weeks of owning a brand new accord. Take that away, and they aren't all that impressive outside of fuel economy.
