New 2016 F150 - Go with x-plan or Will Cover

I have access to Ford's x-plan through my employer. The x-plan is basically Invoice - 0.4% + $275 program fee, plus all publicly available incentives/offers.
Would it be better to go this route or use Will Cover's method?

how about both and compare.

The fine print says you're supposed to let the dealer know you have access to the x-plan upon arrival.

Or what? they won't sell you the vehicle?
See if you can beat the x plan without revealing it....if they don't beat it reveal it.
You can always go to another dealership.

I mean that is basically invoice pricing. So it all depends on if they can beat invoice. Frankly what I'd do is go to a dealer you aren't going to buy from and get what the invoice pricing is, then go to another dealer and see if they can beat it?

You can always beat x-plan. Look at Mac Haik Ford's website to get an idea of a starting point for the price of the F150 you want.

100000% chance they dont refuse to sell you a car because you don't tell them about a Xplan

I had x plan, got a better deal myself. You can negotiate a better deal than x plan every day.

I have paid below "invoice" for at least my last 5 cars, sometimes by several,thousand....invoice is bull shite and any number a dealer gives you is bullshite

Thanks. Looks like I better put my game face on.

Max Haik has good prices. He's only about 2K over dealer cost across the board. It's a good site it looks like for comparison pricing of Fords.

Bought one in March. Master cylinder went out at end of August. They had my truck for three weeks because the part was on back order because of so many issues with master cylinder.
I traded that sucker for $1,000 less that I paid for it last week on a new Nissan Titan xd with Cummings diesel. I couldn't be happier.

What's the Will Cover?
It's when you are negotiating at the dealership....at some strategic point, you write down "Will Cover" on a piece of paper plus a dollar amount over their cost you will pay, i.e., Will Cover $500. They then know you know what they hoped you didn't know. Basically you get the vehicle for $500 over their cost without further negotiation. I'm pretty sure Trump invented it.

i still don't understand it. i mean, if i did all that i would probably never be able to buy a vehicle.

Might want to get a 2017 F-150 next month, new tranny will get better mpg. You could also get a better deal on the 2016 left on the lots when the 2017 hits the lots next month.
