No

But they do seem to have multiple different fields of work to get into

What branch are you looking to get into? I have some contacts that work in the area of valve sales and what not. Probably not much help to you though.

I work for a valve manufacturer

NOV actually just called my office the other day trying to speak to our engineering dept. They were trying to hire a check valve specialist. They have 4 facilities within 10 miles of my office.

My dads been a manager at NOV here in LC for about 10 years, with them for almost 30. Great company to work for.

My father in law is a fraud investigator for them. You don't want to be on the other end of the table from him.

My dads boss' brother does that. I know my dads boss works in Lafayette and his brother travels. Don't think he's old enough to be a father in law though.

I did, but in at a location that built offshore cranes. Pretty good company, I wish I had purchased more stock when I was working there though.

When are lead times going to get back to a reasonable time frame?

If you have a Petroleum Engineering degree (I was a PE @LSU) I would do everything I could to work for an operator and not a service company. Even the smallest operator is better suited to a PE than a service company. What part of NOV is this interview with anyway? They have Reed Bits, Totco instrumentation, mud pumps, top drive... Brandt solids. Not knowing it's hard for me to really expand. Honestly- I would apply to the BSEE or BOEM- have a lower salary- than having to work for a service company. You could do the govt thing- get vested in the fed retirement plan- and then be a much more demanded employee after that. But seriously, 1) operator 2) BSEE/BOEM (3) service company.

Once our LNG projects are done, probably 3 years.

We have GLNG & QCLNG in Austrailia for the next 2 years.

We just won the bid for Sabine Pass LNG 2 weeks ago.
