My wife has about 30K in XOM

That she inherited years ago. She's just been sitting on it and reinvesting the dividends.
What would you investors out there do if you wanted to maximize your returns for the next 3-5 years?

What other stocks or investments do you have? How old are you? When might you need the money? What other sectors, besides energy, are you in? I certainly wouldn't sell it. But depending on your situation, age and goals, it might be wise to take the dividends and invest them in a non energy sector(s), so that you're better diversified.

Leave it reinvesting dividends. Now is the worst time to pull out, and the best time to have those dividends being reinvested
