I don’t believe in META long term, but I bought $100.70 earlier this year after reading a thread on this board. Anyone else own, but not believe in META long term that wants to share their exit target price and reasoning for that price?

ETA: just sold at $190. Probably too soon.

It was WAY oversold, so seeing big gains this year was not hard.

Also, they essentially cut $10 billion in spending yesterday, but it caused a $100 billion gain? The math with this stock makes no sense (up now or down back in November).

Really hinges on the success of this meta verse investment. I’m not betting on it.

In the meantime, i don’t know anyone who uses FB. Essentially just boomers talking politics at this point..

Yep, that’s why Meta surpassed 2 billion daily active users.

Bought at $100. I'm going to hold.

Company can remain insanely profitable and probably cut a lot of spending further.

META is rolling this year. Finally getting traction on the top line, their average revenue per user is solid, one of the few companies that are monetizing AI in a meaningful way with ad revenue and AI is leading to more user time on their platforms, which are addictive. No longer just a cost cutting measure, they are moving in right direction in several areas.

I know I am one of the few that thought they would be up big this year, but they were just way oversold. At this level (up 75% and I am up about 70%) I am taking some profits, but it is a solid company that is going to be effective AI and Metaverse is still something that may monetize in the next five years without costing them too much money to run an effective and efficient company in the meantime.

Got some shares at 139.00. Will be holding those for a while. I'm scared to buy more at these prices especially with the recession on the way.

Nice. Good for you. It is shocking how frequently we are wrong about predicting recessions (or missing the prediction of one that actually happens).

Zuckerberg has shocked me. His baby, Metaverse, was sucking away cash. Instead of banging his head against a brick wall, he listened to others, cut cost and moved to profitable model. I did not know he was capable of that the way he was so set in his ways with congress. Good for him, and shareholders.

I sold my Apple shares & bought META when it was at $120. Right now, I'm really happy. Hope it continues to rally. .

My only regret with the downturn that got Meta this cheap was buying Netflix then getting cold feet and selling it at like 200. Dam Media keeps preaching this huge recession and got me scared but i held on to my meta purchases thankfully.

How high are we riding this META wave? Almost at $300 now. Time to unload those 100 shares?

It’s going to $400.

That would be really nice! It went up $13.14 per share today ($311.71) which was awesome, but when I woke up at 6:45 this morning to check premarket, it was up almost $42 ($329.50+) per share. I almost fell out of bed in shock!! Looks like everyone thinks we're going past that to at least $400 in the near future.

And we have a new all time high

Guess I’ll ride this baby into 2024. P/E ratio still around 35.

It continues to crush it. Lot of haters, but they are minting money on AI. Other than NVDA, they are one of the few actually making a ton of money on AI right now. Many an are expecting to do it in the future, but META has been doing it for a while.

They basically took the massive loss on the metaverse, cut the division to the bone and switched it up. I'm shocked they did it, but the market rewarded it.
