Maybe. Will need some luck too.
IMO it's easier now than ever to do this. There used to be only a few industries that this could happen and money was harder to borrow but now there are tons of options for both.
A few good apps and you're a millionaire, start a popular website (like TD.com not Google), etc. The internet opened up more ways to accomplish that plus things like social media make it easier and much cheaper for a new business to reach customers.
